***Volunteers Needed***

Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 | Uncategorized | Comments Off on ***Volunteers Needed***

Recruitment begins this weekend – can you believe it!?
I am in need of a few volunteers to run by the house around meal time and help make sure the chef doesn’t need help with anything. I will be in Michigan for work all next week and will be returning on Friday. All you would have to do is stop by the Chi Omega house and see if the chef needs you to help her with anything (serving food or drinks, picking up trash, etc… VERY EASY). I wanted to make sure an alumn was present at every meal since we are the ones providing these for the chapter.
Here are the times we are needing 1 or 2 people to volunteer to stop by…
Monday – August 19 – 1:45 pm
Tuesday – August 20 – 2:45 pm
Thursday – August 22 – 10:15 pm  ** I know this is late but if anyone is a late OWL, I would appreciate it a volunteer to help the chef out
Friday – August 23 – 8:45 – Sarah Fortney and I will be helping with this night
Reminder: Bid day is Sunday, August 25th at 2:00. If you are able to come help, please let me know. Extra hands are always a plus!!  Parking – remember there is limited parking at the house. We will be having a Chi Omega shuttle bus alumnae from the AG campus to the house.
Thanks ladies!! Please let me know if you have any more questions.

House Update and Events

Monday, August 12th, 2013 | Uncategorized | Comments Off on House Update and Events

After a long intense summer, I am pleased to announce that we opened the Pi chapter house to our first residents this week.!

Welcome to Linda Hoppe, House Director from FSU and Amber Lloyd Executive Chef from the Orangery.

Move In

On Sunday, we moved 42 residents in the house and they and their parents were in awe of the finished product.

We are about 98% compete and still have a punch list a mile long.

All in all the house is what we had hoped for and we are pleased.

My special thanks to Connie Taylor and Becky Tate for coordinating many of the delivery deadlines with me.

Also to Mary Hugh for the landscaping and grounds and Candy and Sandy Beall for planning a grand commercial kitchen.

Recruitment & BID DAY, Sunday August 25

Recruitment practice starts tomorrow culminating with Bid Day at the house on Sunday, August 25 at 2:00pm.

We want it to be special as we feel we will have many alums visiting the house for the first time. If you are planning on coming, arrive at noon to find a good parking place and we can put you to work!

We are Chi Omegas.. we give..we serve ..we lead!
